I'm Stephanie Kirkland-Post, a designer with over a decade of experience turning complex problems into products people actually want to use.

I work at the intersection of rigorous craft and practical leadership. I care deeply about the quality of what gets shipped, the interaction details, the system thinking, the moments that make a product feel considered, and I invest equally in the people doing the work alongside me.

At Aegon, I've led UX across multi-squad delivery on complex investment and pension journeys, scaled the design and wider UX team, and built the foundations - standards, systems, culture - that let a team move fast without losing quality. I don't separate good design from good leadership. In my experience, one depends on the other.

My background spans finance, education, law, sport, and technology — in-house, agency, and start-up. That breadth isn't accidental. Different contexts sharpen your instincts. They force you to ask better questions, challenge assumptions earlier, and design for people whose lives look nothing like your own.

I'm based in Edinburgh and open to hybrid or remote opportunities.
